The Real Mary King's Close Chocolate Chip Shortbread Drum is decorated with our signature tartan, designed by Kinloch Anderson in 2013. The tartan is a blend of dark grey, bright white, and rich red, which represents the city's dark and light past.
The red highlights the city's royal connections and bloody history, while the white line symbolises the Scottish Enlightenment, a time of great growth and prosperity for Edinburgh. Inside, you'll find deliciously made traditional shortbread with milk chocolate pieces, prepared especially for The Real Mary King's Close by the bakers at Farrah's of Harrogate.
